Pancake Breakfast 2023!
On Sunday morning of the Canada Day weekend the park’s pancake breakfast took place on the common area near the beach. The event was a huge success and the turn-out was fantastic. We had about 30 members and guests attend and enjoy a delicious meal consisting of pancakes with syrup, scrambled eggs, sausages, assorted fruit, juice boxes for the kids and mimosas for the adults. The best part was that it gave people the opportunity to meet one another, chat, laugh and enjoy the sunshine. Everyone brought their own plates and cutlery, cleaned up after themselves and made sure that we separated garbage from recyclable items. The monetary donations that were received covered some of the costs and the excess will be used for future events. Big thanks go to Carolyn Maycock for spearheading the event and making it happen and to everyone who donated food items. We appreciate everyone’s help on the day, specifically the cooks and servers, some of whom worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Ken & Carolyn Maycock, Jay and Ingrid Sheere, Dan Kent, Suzanne, Derek Topping, Kelly and Donna Regen. Apologies if we forgot someone.
